My life has been swept up in so many things lately

My life has been swept up in so many things lately. Huge trials and disappointments, but also some positive distractions and many blessings. I'm grateful I was able to capture a picture of this beautiful rose in the midst of the chaos of life. There is probably some symbolism there or something profound I could weave into this post, but I am tired and its a miracle I've kept myself together up to this point. Xo

Feral Momma Cindy is such a great mommy. The babie

Feral Momma Cindy is such a great mommy. The babies are plump and very active, with the cutest personalities. Their weight gain is right on track, and they're already taking interest in mama's food and water dishes.

Today was a good day. Cindy is beginning to trust my hand ever so slightly more than normal. I think that is why she is hanging out so close to me right now. She may not admit it, but quite enjoys scritchies from the bamboo back scratching stick. Another significant win today was getting her to eat a #churu cat treat and some #greenies from my hand. Baby steps for this sweet girl. I am grateful.

I don't think Cindy is much more than a year old. I'm praying that I can continue to make progress with taming her. It has been a couple decades since I had to do any feral work, but I have a great team (my kids, hubby, and sis) to help me with the babies while I work with this beautiful girl.

Today momma is such a sassypants! She is normally not in such a bad mood, but she is still a phenomenal mommy. Hopefully she cheers up. I know things aren't ideal, but its still infinitely better than the dirt hole where she had her babies.

Our foster family is doing great! Momma Cindy is super spicy towards me, but she trusts me enough to have allowed me to weigh the bebes today. They are approximately 10-11 days old and their weight is on right on track. I am so grateful that she is such a great mommy. Oh! And their eyes are beginning to open.

This is our new feral foster, Cindy (Cinderella),

This is our new feral foster, Cindy (Cinderella), and her little smokey cinder babies. Her beloved caretaker passed away in December of last year. Her remaining caretakers had a suspicion she might be pregnant but couldn't take care of her. The babies were discovered when they were barely a day or two old, and it took about a week of planning to get her safely trapped and settled.

The babies are clean and happy. Cindy is a great mommy and produces a lot of milk. Prayers that she settles well and stays happy. Although this is not her neighborhood, she seems pretty comfortable so far. 😍
