In 2018 I realized it was time to make some changes, beginning with doing something specifically for me. As a cancer survivor, I knew how important it was to begin reclaiming my health and finding my vitality again.
This led me to Aveda and learning the fundamentals behind Ayurvedic Medicine focused skincare practice. I learned the essential link between your inner health and how your outer body is trying to communicate with you. It not only helped me heal my own issues, but launched me onto the path of finding my passion to help others with a similar history to my own.

During my education to become a licensed skincare therapist, I had another potential cancer scare that put me on the brink of an even scarier path than my first one. While I can gratefully say that it did not lead to a terrifying surgery, the threat is always there in the back of my mind, and I knew I needed to put a stop to cancer lurking over my life. I learned that health begins in your physical and spiritual nourishment. I researched and compared numerous holistic nutrition schools and chose to go with OG of holistic nutrition, the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

As a student of IIN, the educational scope goes broad. This allows every student with a different goal to gain a wide scope and understanding of how extensive the roots of health and nutrition go. I learned pretty early on that I was going to want to go even deeper. Not only to continue to help people healing from disease like me, but also to switch from a recovery path to a preventative path from now on.
