Congratulations, Team Red Bull!
These shimmering, delicately-spiced gelatin desserts can be served solo or topped with lightly sweetened Chantilly cream for a divine treat to be enjoyed as you ring in the New Year, or for any celebration throughout the year. This recipe will be a great addition to any holiday celebrations this season, or if I’m being honest, just because you can! You don’t need a reason to enjoy such an easy, beautiful treat. The best thing about recipes such as this one is the adaptability. If you do not drink, you can easily replace the alcohol with more Red Bull or a light colored juice of your choice.
For Monica. You are gorgeous, generous, brilliant, and insanely talented. I hope you continue to excel in your already successful journey. Thank you for being such a great leader during Vegas F1. I loved working alongside you and your team. Because of you, your team, and the amazing Red Bull company, the Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix made history in Vegas as a thrilling success!
Sparkling Pear Cinnamon Red Bull Jello Shots
Ingredients
- 1 cup Red Bull Pear Cinnamon
- .5 ounces gelatin 2 packets
- 3/4 cup sparkling wine or juice I chose sparkling pear cider, but champagne or prosecco would be beautiful
- 1/4 cup vodka I choose not to drink, so I added more Red Bull
- 1/4 tsp food grade shimmer dust optional
- 1 small cinnamon stick optional
- 1-2 clove & cinnamon candies, finely crushed optional Thieves or On Guard candies
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare molds. Spray lightly with cooking spray. You can choose small wine glasses, shot glasses, or even ice cube trays. If you choose a mold from which you plan to remove them later, then sprinkle the bottoms with sanding sugar for easier removal. I chose to forego the cooking spray and lightly dusted the small goblets with shimmer dust and served them directly in the goblet with spoons.
- Bloom the gelatin. Whisk together the Red Bull and the powdered gelatin in a small saucepan. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes.
- Dissolve the gelatin. Add the cinnamon stick, if desired. Warm the liquid over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not allow it to boil. Optional: add the shimmer dust.
- Add remaining liquids. Gently stir in your juice or champagne and vodka or additional Red Bull.
- Remove the cinnamon stick. Pour into the molds. Divide evenly into your prepared molds or glasses.
- Refrigerate for 3-4 hours to allow gelatin to set.
- If you chose to chill and cut into squares, you can dip the base of the pan into hot water for 5-10 seconds to gently loosen the gelatin from the pan. Run a paring knife around the edges to loosen it. You can flip it onto a wax paper-lined tray and then cut into squares.
- Keep chilled until serving. Top with optional Chantilly cream and crushed shimmer candies.
- Optional: While gelatin shots are chilling, prepare the Chantilly cream and crushed candy garnish.
- Whip together heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar.
- Crush clove candies in a bag with extra shimmer dust for a sprinkle garnish.
- Dollop the cream on top of the gelatin shots, and sprinkle with shimmering crushed candy pieces.
