Eyebrow Treatments
Brow Shaping–
Brow shaping refers to the process of eyebrow design by a professional trained in the optimal enhancement of a person’s eyebrows, customizing them to the shape of the client’s eyes and according to their preferences.
Shaping usually includes waxing and tweezing to clean up stray hairs and clearly define the line of the brow. We use a premium hard wax that is vegan friendly and hypoallergenic, so any redness usually subsides before the end of the appointment. This service is nearly painless to most people and lasts up to 4 weeks. Hair that has been waxed will grow back lighter and softer.
Henna Tinting-
Henna is a dye prepared from the plant Lawsonia inermis, also known as the henna tree, mignonette tree, or the Egyptian privet. It is most commonly known as an effective dye in the ancient art of Mehndi, as it is believed that dying the skin with henna may bring good luck.
With eyebrows, the art of henna application is applied to the hairs and roots of the eyebrow hair to tint them, much like dying one’s hair. The benefit is that it is more natural and more effective in covering stubborn gray hairs. This is a common and greatly appreciated service for those who do not enjoy having to pencil in their brow shape on a daily basis, or those who have brows, but the hair is too pale to be visible.
This service costs less than a tenth of the cost of microblading or powder brows, and lasts up to 6 weeks. Side effects are rare, but may include blistering, soreness, and possible scarring. Do not use henna if you are allergic to paraphenylenediamine (PPD).
